The Crew of Men on Boats

We all love watching a show come alive. The lights, the set, the sound, the acting, the story! Without these people, none of that would happen… so here is a great big thank you to the folks behind the scenes! You are the heart of any production.

Richard Pallaziol (Director) With directing credits including Hamlet and Taming of the Shrew for Napa Shakespeare Company, he honed his craft at CSU Long Beach and the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. Having worked on over 400 productions from San Diego to Michigan, Pallaziol brings extensive experience as a retired professional stage fight choreographer, actor, and director. His local engagements include Marin Shakespeare, Cinnabar Theatre, Shakespeare Napa Valley, and various Valley Players productions, with his most recent appearance in August: Osage County.

Craig Rekdahl (Stage Manager) was first inspired to hit the stage after seeing Grease on the big screen as a kid and his love of theater snowballed from there both onstage and off. He was most recently seen in the Valley Players production, August: Osage County, where in addition to playing smarmy Steve, he lifted more than a paintbrush to help the set come to life. He served as assistant stage manager for The Tin Woman and jumped at the opportunity to step up to stage manager for Men on Boats, where he can be found hauling boats with his bare hands.

Rhonda Bowen (Set Design/ Special Effects) has been designing sets and/or performing as an actor in numerous Bay Area productions for some time and has been working with Valley Players since 2018. She most recently wore both hats for Valley Player’s August: Osage County last March and is honored to lead the design team for Men On Boats. Rhonda studied acting and all aspects of theatrical production at Santa Rosa Junior College and SRT, and Architecture at the University of California at Berkeley.

Skipper Skeoch (Costume Coordinator) is delighted to be working with the great people of Valley Players. She has been working as a costume designer and technician for almost 50 years. Skipper is fortunate to have worked in both educational and professional theaters, including, San Francisco State University, Napa Valley College as well as South Coast Repertory, Sacramento Theater Company, The Magic Theater, and Brunswick Music Theater in Maine to name a few. In her youth, Skipper was most fortunate to design for Sam Shepard on several of his world premieres, including his Pulitzer Prize-winning Buried Child.

Lu Kenmonth, Valley Players, Napa Valley, California

Lu Kenmonth (Light & Sound Technician) is a 2nd grade teacher at Willow Art Integration School. She produces and directs 2-5th grade students each year in musicals like Aladdin, Annie, The Jungle Book, Seussical the Musical, and several original plays that she wrote with her son Nolan, a Southern Oregon University graduate.  When she is not teaching kids, she volunteers for our local Napa theaters, ushering, stage managing, working lights, or being a sound technician backstage. Lu also writes our grants! Break a leg, everyone!

Keith Baldanza (Set Builder) first got his hands dirty building set pieces for the San Jose Repertory Theater oh-so-many moons ago. A driving force in the early days of Dreamweavers, he is proud to have contributed to nearly every Valley Players production since 2018. Keith is also serving as a River Minion for this production.

Paul Marciniak (Set Builder) became involved with Valley Players after their first performance. He has been having a fun time building sets and working behind the scenes as a stage member ever since. He is delighted to work with such a great and talented group. Please come join us: you won’t be disappointed!
