As most of you know, pre-COVID we produced all of our performances at the Lincoln Theater in Yountville, CA. When it shut down it left us without a home. Right now it’s unclear when (or even if) the Lincoln will re-open or who will run it. Will they want local groups back?

With that uncertainty we find ourselves looking for new performance spaces—spaces with higher costs for performances and rehearsals. It also means coming up with our own lighting and sound equipment. And those aren’t cheap.

For Romantic Fools, we decided to bite the bullet and begin building a portable lighting system that we can take with us to varying venues. The system used for that production was brand new and cost a total of $8,693. Much of the money brought in by that show has helped, but we still have a long way to go to cover the cost of even this minimal lighting system.

A portable lighting system will greatly expand our ability to use alternative spaces for performances.

So we’re asking for your help. Every dollar we receive from this page will go directly toward defraying the cost of the lighting system.
