Step into the absurdly funny world of Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead—and meet the brilliant actors who make it shine.

Rhonda Bowen (Rosencrantz) is honored to return to Valley Players’ stage for this delightful comedy. She has been involved with Valley Players since 2018 and Bay Area theatre for over 45 years as an actor, director, and designer. This May, she played Laurie in Wendy Wasserstein’s thought-provoking drama, Third. Past roles include ‘Barbara(s)’ in August: Osage County, The Fitting Room and Farce of Habit; Sarah in Time Stands Still, Gertrude in The Old Friends, Myra in Hay Fever, Sonia in They’re Playing our Song…to name a few. Rhonda studied Acting and Theatre Arts at SRJC, SRT, and Berkeley Rep, and holds a degree in Architecture from UC Berkeley.

Luis Carbajal (The Player) is excited to return to the Valley Players stage in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead. He previously appeared in Ripcord as Derrick, the masked man & zombie butler, and played Rodney in Small Mouth Sounds. He also co-stage managed The Women. Before joining Valley Players, Luis performed in several student films and high school productions, including Romeo and Juliet, Dracula, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged), and a radio show adaptation of Shakespeare’s Star Wars: Verily a New Hope. He’s thrilled to bring the chaos and charm of The Player to life! Enjoy the show!

Linda Howard (Tragedian, Gertrude, Soldier) came to Northern California from Chicago in 1985 and has been involved in local theater ever since, performing in productions with Valley Players, Napa Valley College, Solano Community College, On the Fringe, and others. Some of her favorite roles/shows include Masha in Vanya, Sonia, Masha & Spike; Annette in God of Carnage; Desiree in A Little Night Music; April in Company; Aldonza in Man of La Mancha; Amalia in She Loves Me; the Baker’s Wife and Cinderella in Into the Woods. She is retired after 30 years as a music therapist, and is a member of the local Irish band, Kith & Kin.

Glen Mitchell (Tragedian, Claudius) comes to Valley Players after performing in numerous shows with military morale and wellness local theater groups in Okinawa, Japan, and Wiesbaden, Germany. His roles have included Lord Gonzalo in The Tempest, Shylock in Something Rotten, and The Man in the Yellow Suit in Tuck Everlasting: the Musical. He is honored to be part of Valley Players alongside an amazingly talented cast. He is a resident of America Canyon with his very supportive wife, Rina, three cats, and a swarm of very productive honey bees.

Robyn Myers (Tragedian, Ophelia, Horatio) made her theatrical debut in Valley Players’ production of The Women. She is thrilled to be performing once again with Valley Players and humbled to be a part of this amazing cast and crew. Robyn spends her off-time behind her drum kit and tooling about in one of her two vintage VWs.

Patte Quinn (Alfred, Polonius, Ambassador) finds herself in another challenging role. The good news is she loves a challenge! That’s the fun theatre brings to an actor. As one of the founders of Valley Players (which is now in its 8th year of providing entertainment to our community), she would like to thank you for your continued support. She can’t even tell you her favorite role because each has unique characteristics. So please sit back and enjoy!

June Alane Reif (Guildenstern) has a B.A. in Theater, Interpretation, and Communication from LSU and furthered her acting studies at the San Jose Repertory Theatre and in private classes with Ed Hooks and Barbara Titus. June is also a graduate of Bay Area TheatreSports in San Francisco. A founding member of Valley Players in Napa, she currently serves as Artistic Director. She was last seen onstage as Ishtar in The Epic of Gilgamesh, a Stray Dog Theater production. She is grateful to have been given the opportunity to work with the talented cast and crew of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead!

Erin Elizabeth Smith (Hamlet) is thrilled to be making her Valley Players debut! Erin has an AA Degree in Musical Theatre from Napa Valley College, where she received an arty nomination for her performance as Mayella Ewell in To Kill a Mockingbird; and she was last seen as Katherine Plumber in Solano Community Players’ production of Newsies. Erin consistently surrounds herself with theatre as she is currently working as the Theatre Specialist at Greater Vallejo Recreation District, and her biggest dream is to one day start her own theatre company.
