Enjoy the immersive experience of Men on Boats

Valley Players and the Town of Yountville present Men On Boats by Jaclyn Backhaus—October 13th through 29th at the Yountville Community Center.

NAPA, CA, September 30, 2023 – Jaclyn Backhaus’ Men on Boats reexamines the 1869 Grand Canyon expedition, originally led by male explorers, through the lens of an all-female cast. At the heart of the story lies a tale of self-discovery, resilience, of camaraderie and determination. The characters embark on a journey not only through the Grand Canyon but also towards a deeper understanding of themselves, testing themselves against a great unknown.

Men on Boats offers a thrilling theatrical adventure that takes you on an unforgettable journey through uncharted territories. The creative team at Valley Players has embraced the opportunity to explore imaginative staging, innovative design, and pushed the boundaries of traditional theater to create an immersive experience that captivates the senses and sparks the imagination.

Men on Boats is directed by Richard Pallaziol and features Krisi Pilkington Adams, Debbie Gargalikis Baumann, Ginna Beharry, Nancy Heine, Lauren Kelley, Sonya Keller, Patte Quinn, June Alane Reif, Jessica Romero, and Esmé Nicolson-Singh. Produced by Valley Players with thanks to the generosity of the Town of Yountville, Arts Council Napa Valley and Napa Valley Presents.

Showtimes are October 13, 14, 20, 21, 27 & 28 at 7 pm, October 15, 22 & 29 at 2 pm at the Yountville Community Center.
